We had a great experience at Therapink. My daughter and I got matching tattoos for her 18th birthday. She is notorious for getting dizzy/passing out when it comes to needles. She started out fine but all the sudden, it happened, she started feeling weird, before she finished the sentence that she wasn't feeling right, Brian reacted perfectly. They knew exactly what to do. Brian stopped, set the tattoo gun down, got her water, a pixie stick and talked her through it calmly until it subsided. He didn't rush to get started again, waited for her to feel better and didn't make her feel bad or embarrassed. The entire time we were there we all had great conversation and were treated extremely well. I've gotten multiple compliments on my tattoo already, straight edges, exactly the way I expected it to be. We both love them!! I will go back to Brian and more importantly I trusted him with my baby girl and would again. He exceeded my expectations. Actually, we will be back soon to get her ear pierced. I've been to multiple tattoo/piercing shops over the years and this was the best experience. We highly recommend Brian Cress and Therapink.

FAQ

How do I book a tattoo appointment, and are walk-ins accepted?

Booking ahead is highly recommended to ensure availability, especially if you have a preferred artist or are planning a larger, custom piece. For more complex tattoos, we encourage scheduling a consultation first—this helps our artists understand your vision, plan the design, and provide accurate time and pricing estimates.

You can book online or by calling the studio directly. While walk-ins are welcome, they’re not guaranteed and depend on artist availability. To avoid wait times and secure your spot, we suggest booking at least 2–3 weeks in advance.

Need to reschedule or cancel? Just let us know at least 24 hours ahead so we can adjust accordingly.

How do I care for my tattoo after the session?

Proper aftercare is essential for healing and preserving your tattoo. At TherapInk, we recommend:

Leave the bandage on for 24 hours to protect the area and reduce the risk of infection.
After removing the bandage, gently wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and mild, fragrance-free soap.
Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor or Hustle Butter—both are available in-store and recommended by our artists.
Avoid soaking the tattoo, direct sunlight, and picking at scabs during the healing process.
Continue moisturizing regularly until the tattoo is fully healed.

What should I avoid while my tattoo heals?

Avoid direct sunlight, scented lotions or soaps, tight clothing over the tattoo, scratching, and picking at scabs. These can damage the design and prolong healing. Let your skin heal naturally.

Can I shower or swim after getting a tattoo?

You can shower, but avoid soaking the tattoo. No baths, swimming pools, hot tubs, or saunas for at least 2 weeks. Excess moisture can interfere with healing and increase the risk of infection.

Can I get tattooed over scars or stretch marks?

Yes, in many cases our artists can tattoo over healed scars or stretch marks. However, results vary depending on the texture and age of the scar. A consultation is recommended to assess the area and design a piece that works with your skin.
